Ice Caves with Boy Scouts

Jake went on another campout with the boy scouts, this time to the ice caves. It was cold, but they had fun. 

First day of School and Ponytails!

Any ideas of what to do with wispy hair? People ask me all the time if she cut her own hair. Nope, that's 100% natural beauty! :) Her first ponytail ever (July or August 2011).

I'm pathetic. First day of school. August 2011. 1st grade.

 The girls were pretty sad after a long summer of fun all together. They didn't understand we were dropping Jake off until he was out of our car and in the school.

 First time 2 ponytails in the homemade Easter dress (made out of my bridesmaid dresses).

Boy Scout Camp Out to Blue Ridge

In August, Scott took the boy scouts camping at Blue Ridge. He took Jake along, and Jake had a ball. Here's his self-portrait:

 They had to canoe down the river 3 hours to their camping site. 

 Hm... boy toys in the woods. 

 Jake with the cooked crawdads they caught. I don't think he tried one.
