Happy 10th Anniversary to Us!

Brooke on her daddy-daughter date to McDonald's

We had two doorways into the kitchen right next to each other. We had one doorway closed off to build an office space.

 For our 10th anniversary...

We went to Sedona and ate at Elote Cafe. YUM.

We stayed at The Inn on Oak Creek just like we had 10 years ago. Scott surprised me by taking me back to our little room at the bed and breakfast, "The Rested Rooster."

We had some delicious apple crisp for dessert.
Breakfast here is a delicious feast! Homemade maple yogurt with homemade granola, smoothies, eggs benedict southwest style, muffins, and cheesy biscuits. Whew!

Crane Lake Powell June 2013

It's always a great time at the Lake. We celebrated Brookie's birthday. Unfortunately, at sundown, instead of celebrating my dad decided we needed to go to the poop dock and empty the toilets. Yes, it was necessary, but maybe not on the evening of Brooklyn's celebration, and after sundown. So, it was pretty stressful. All the mom's were trying to keep the kids quiet, out of the way, and entertained. We got there and it was dark. We all did the best we could, but it was pretty miserable. We finally lit the candles and Brooke blew them out, but it was so late and so far past her bedtime, she wouldn't even have any cake. All the kids were melting down. Needless to say, it was not the best birthday for her. Luckily, she is so little, she probably has already forgotten. We had a great week, besides that one disaster. It always amazes me all the hard work my dad does, even during the week, to keep the boat up and running and everything going smoothly. Secretly, I think he likes some of the projects... maybe it's hard for him to relax, and that's where I get it! Anyway, great time surrounded by some of my favorite people.
