The boys went on a special Lake Powell fishing trip, so the girls had a Seaman Sleepover! :) Maddie and Brooke were thrilled to be matching. The boys had a great time, except they got there late at night, didn't see the "you can't launch without a mussel-free check" and launched anyway. After a hefty ticket (split $250 each), they are less inclined to make the same mistake! They had a great time. We forgot to pack sunscreen. It had been so cold here that I don't think I even packed swim trunks or any clothes for warmer weather. So, they got sunburned and were a little warm. Lessons learned this trip! They got back on Mother's Day... so that was a little less-than-ideal. But, it was for Les's birthday, so it was a good cause.
Warmer weather means more picnics, play time outside, shakes (how else do I get Jake to eat all greens?), and general happiness. I love spring! :)
