Seaman Family Talent Show 2012
This year we held the talent show at the church on the stage. The kids were thrilled and showed us all kinds of dances, musical numbers, etc. Happy to perform on a real stage!
We ordered pizza for dinner to eat during the show.
Kelsi shook it with some Tahitian dancing.
Jenni and Caleb's upside-down musical number was a hit.
Grandma and Grandpa danced to a cute number and tossed Hershey's kisses at everyone.
Fall family bike ride that went about 1/2 mile before someone buffed and we had too many melt downs, so we headed back home. We had great intentions!
Kickboxing led by me and Zumba led by Kels... family workout tradition.
I went with Mrs. Floyd's class on a field trip to Out of Africa. It was fun to spend some one-on-one time with my beautiful girl!
Feeding the giraffe got up close and personal. Alisa was sure she would feed it from her mouth (ew) but much to my relief she totally chickened out!
Mrs. Floyd did not chicken out. She must be a true animal lover.
The tiger show was super crazy. One of the tigers started getting more than playful with one of the guys and they had to do sort of an emergency meat throw to get that huge tiger off of him. It was a bit intense. I was glad he didn't die in front of all the kindergarteners.
The girls decorated their room with streamers and had a tea party.
Wrestling with dad on our bed after scriptures.
We took Jake and Alisa snowboarding/skiing on a VERY WINDY day. It was a bit cold but they were thrilled!
I skied with Alisa. Once she got the hang of it, she zoomed down the bunny hill.
Since we wanted it to be a positive experience no matter how the kids did, we packed some junk food snacks.
Alisa was a butterfly in the class play.
Soon-to-be Bishop Brown took Scott and Kidron Gage fishing at Lee's ferry. It may have been an informal interview for the bishopric, since Scott was later called as the first counselor to Bishop Brown.
Off to California: February 2013
We stopped to get date shakes in Dateland. I thought they were too sickly sweet.
Knott's Berry Farm. The kids rides were so fun. Alisa was just shy of the minimum height requirement for all the big rides. Bummer for our thrill-seeking daughter!
We went to check out some tide pools and this lookout point where we saw sail boats and a submarine.
As we were down checking out the tide pools we ran into our friends, the Dunn family from Flagstaff. What a small world.
We camped for two nights in Carlsbad State park. We had a great time, besides Brooke getting sick and having diarrhea. Luckily, it only came in the morning and at night. We had a huge staircase that we had to descend to get to the gorgeous beach.
Jared and Amanda and kids joined us for the evening. Amanda and kids braved camping in their car while Jared had to go home for work or school.
I thought the kids were so cute crashed out all together at Jared and Amanda's.
