Alive... and kicking?

We are alive. Just thought I'd let y'all know. Owners of a business, working into the wee hours of the morning, sick with flu and colds, tending sick kids, running, running, running (errands, not exercise, unfortunately), making lists and lists and lists of things that need doing. We are busy. Happy. Relieved. Stressed out. Blessed. Busy. Running a business takes it out of you. There's a lot to organize, think of, do. I don't worry, though. It'll be fine.

Hard: Not to have our own space, living out of suitcases, trying to transition into the business, bored kids who don't get enough play time, windy weather that doesn't let us play outside, remembering every change that needs to be made with a move, flu, sore throats, baby with never-ending diarrhea, spouse who doesn't see the kids.

Great: Support from parents and in-laws, being able to leave with spouse after kids are down to work into the wee hours of the morning, movies to keep kids entertained, temporary rent-free living, being in beautiful Flagstaff PERMANENTLY, a mom willing to watch the kids for three days while I hop over to Show Low to clean and pack effectively, a dad willing to rearrange his schedule to drive a moving truck 3 hours, pack up my stuff, fix the broken things in the rental house, drive back 3 hours, unload and work his miracle packing so our stuff will fit into a small truck we call our "rent-free storage unit," in-laws willing to help me rearrange storage unit, help us get the business going, and support us in more ways than one so we can live happily ever after. THANK YOU!

I think the great outweighs the hard. We are surviving. Doing well. Learning to breath and prioritize. Life is hard; Life is good. We are blessed.

Yes, this is not a grammatically correct entry. Welcome to my brain lately.

OVERHEARD:

Alisa: I am getting so stwessed out!

Now, where has she heard that before?

We were singing A Child's Prayer (a primary song from church) which ends "For such is the kingdom, the kingdom of heaven." Jake ended it with "For such is the kingdom, the kingdom of hell."

Oops. I don't even know where he's heard the word hell. He felt bad when I told him it wasn't a good thing to say. Honestly, though, I was trying not to bust a gut. What a goober.

Glad you are alive and kicking. Wish we could pitch in and help you all. The pressure will be relieved...maybe not soon, but it will come. You sound like you are surviving and thriving (Thirty, Flirty and Thriving!~)

Miss you. Wish the Jakester could come visit us this weekend, but alas, no room in the truck.
