Trick-or-Treat times two

Well, we went out trick-or-treating with our next-door-neighbors last night for about an hour. Jake fell asleep on the way over (we went to Redlands). But woke up and was ready to go. The police had blocked off the street and had big flood lights set up so it was really well lit. The weather was great, of course. Jake opted for Peter Pan this time (Buzz is a bit hot for So Cal) and we lost Alisa's antennae and black tights so we put her in the pumpkin outfit, which she loved! Seriously, she was mad she had to take it off and she kept saying "bu-bu" (pumpkin) and rubbing her tummy.

We had a great time and added to the serious loot that Jake got from the ward party and trick-or-treating at Preschool. Here are the results. We did not dress up last night. Party poopers, I know, but I just couldn't walk around in those heels again!

The Loot
Peter Pan
Ahhh, cute!
Such a happy pumpkin!
And a big girl, too!

Alisa in new snowsuit--thanks grandma! We think it'll last two years at least!
We had Hallie and Mason over yesterday. Jake and Hallie really wanted to take a bath, so I said what the heck? Go for it!

On Thursday Jake's preschool had a Halloween party and went over to the Adult School (his preschool is actually an adult school program) to trick-or-treat. Unbeknownst to us parents, each student had a pile of candy in each classroom. We visited 5 classrooms. So, he got some serious candy and by the last classroom was complaining that his bag was too heavy. Poor kid! Way too much candy!

I love that little pumpkin suit on Alisa! She is so stinking cute! And Jake as Peter Pan is great. I can imagine that Buzz was too hot. Ethan wanted to wear his all day and it got stinky and sweaty.

what are you going to do with all that candy!?? i want to throw half of ruby's away...cuz you know i'll end up 'helping' her eat it... and it will be all the chocolate because she wants all the tart, sweet, hard candies and suckers...of course

whats your solution...just let the kids eat it all?..at their own pace?

slowly dispense it to them over the course of 6 months?

eat it all myself when she's asleep?

throw it all away? (i'm not completely serious)
