Rainy Days

What do you do when it's raining? Scott and Jake made an awesome sword and shield. I slept (thanks, hon!) Scott's quite the artist! Jake is thrilled.

Alisa is coloring the remains of the cardboard box. As she colors, she counts 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 7! Yes, she is in her pajamas (Jake's old choo-choo boy pj's) and it's 4:30 pm. Do you like her clown hair?

More to come later on our miserable Friday the 13th and our fun but soggy weekend with family!

What do I do when it's raining? Personally, I like to get in a smelly, overpacked mini-van with four children and a husband and travel on bumpy backroads through California, consuming every piece of junk food in the car as we go, in an attempt to make it home to UT. When it's REALLY pouring like it was on Monday, I particularly like to spend 11 hours driving white-knuckled, and only make it to Flagstaff, knowing we have 8 more hours to go the next day. Oh, and I really, really love Jeff having to take another vacation day from work to actually get home. That is my favorite thing to do on a rainy day.

This weekend was fun. Thanks for hosting. The drive home, however, wasn't.

PS Love the sword/shield. Should've done that on Friday the 13th!!
